To the north-east of Patitiri is one of the largest sandy beaches of the island - Chrysi Milia.
Unlike most of the almost wild island beaches, the recreation area is equipped with sunbeds and sun loungers. In addition to the magnificent golden sand, pure emerald water tourists are waiting for sports grounds. Cliffs surround the beach. Near the coast there is a tavern.
The beach is ideal for families with children.

Photo and description
On the western coast of the Greek island of Skopelos, between Panormos Bay and the resort town of Elios (Neo Klima), surrounded by picturesque pine trees, is located one of the most popular and largest beaches of the island - sand and pebble beach Milia, about 1 km long.
Miles Beach - well-maintained. If necessary, you can use sun loungers and sun umbrellas, as well as dine in a cozy local tavern. It also has a pretty beach bar with refreshments and snacks. Lovers of outdoor activities can enjoy various water sports.
You can get to Milia Beach either by car or by public transport.
Directly opposite Milia beach lies the small picturesque islet of Dasia.
Milia is the longest beach on the island and, according to some accounts, one of the most visited. It is not wide, sand and gravel, with a gentle slope into the water, ideal for relaxing with small children. Tall pines grow very close by, casting a shadow and giving the air a healing freshness. From the coast you can see the small island of Dassia, which can be reached by boat.
The beach bisects a large boulder peeking out from under the water (a great place for snorkeling). Its southern part is more lively: perhaps because the beach bar is closer to it, the northern side is more quiet and secluded. The infrastructure here is well established: there are umbrellas and sun loungers, lifeguards are even on duty nearby. Milia is very easy to reach from the capital of the island: the road will take no more than 13 kilometers.
When is the best time to go?
Greece is a country with a long stretch from north to south, so recommendations will vary depending on where you are heading. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
